DNA ancestry test is the most talked topic in science community due to its ability to find the missing ancestry information using a simple saliva sample. The popularity to the ancestry DNA test has been possible due to increasing number of celebrities from various part of the world who are taking Ancestry DNA test to find their ancestry information. Among all the users of Ancestry DNA test, it has been found that majority of the users are from African Americans communities. One of the primary reasons that African Americans are using Ancestry DNA testing is to establish whether there is any evidence of slavery in their lineage.

During the initial days of discovery of DNA analysis techniques, the techniques have been limited to the research related to the drug discovery of various diseases in clinical trial phase. Later this was used in the Forensic department to find the evidence for the Crime investigation. For her work in Television, she was nominated for 13 to Prestigious Emmy Award and awarded with Oscar Award, Grammy Award, and Tony Award. She is the only second black women African to win the Oscar award.

Through a simple ancestry DNA test using saliva sample, she was able to trace her roots back to two tribes in the tiny African state of Guinea-Bissau.

A Britain-based DNA Test Company has carried out tests on the DNA of Princess Diana’s two matrilineal cousins and compared them to a global database of samples to find out their ancestry DNA. Those tests reveal that the prince’s fourth great-grandmother was the daughter of Eliza Kewark and Theodore Forbes (1788-1820), a Scottish merchant who worked in Surat, north of what is now Mumbai.
